Back in the studio...
These images were made for a project for my Studio class final project. I can’t believe that this was my first portraiture shoot in 2025! It kind of piggybacked off of my last shoot of 2024, but I couldn’t be happier with the results. For this image I took inspiration from the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (my all time favorite TV show) and the image from pinterest. I think I’m really starting to find my style, which is leaning towards the vintage side of things. While I was setting up for the shoot, I got into an intense argument with my father, and was quite emotional going in. However, I’m surprised at how well I was able to turn that off and focus on the shoot. At the end, I was feeling so much better that I completely forgot to measure my lights. I’ve done such a good job on every other shoot. Honestly, I forgot that this was even for an assignment, I just had so much fun with it. In terms of editing, I was really going for a vintage (60’s NYC) look, and played around with possibly blending in paper texture to add to the image, but in the end, I realized that I'm satisfied with what I’m able to accomplish as is.
With Love,
Hana
