welcome to my photography journey
My name is Hana McDowell, and my passion for capturing moments started in high school back in 2016. It was during these formative years that I discovered the magic of photography, a passion that has only grown stronger over time.
In 2018, while still a senior in high school, I had the incredible opportunity to join Dorian Photography in Spokane, WA, as a photo editor. This experience honed my skills and deepened my love for the craft. The following year, in 2019, I embarked on an unforgettable adventure across Europe, visiting nine different countries. This journey allowed me to immerse myself in diverse cultures and landscapes, enriching my perspective as a photographer.
When the world slowed down in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I took the time to dive deeper into photography. It was during this period that I began exploring the beautiful and intimate world of boudoir photography, finding a new way to express my creativity and connect with my subjects.
In 2021, I returned to Dorian Photography, this time as a photographer. My seasonal work evolved into a more substantial role, allowing me to refine my skills further and explore new techniques. However, in 2022, I embarked on a new adventure as a flight attendant for SkyWest Airlines, which led to a temporary pause in my photography career.
Before this hiatus, I made a significant upgrade to my equipment, investing in a Nikon D850. Now, with my new gear and a renewed passion, I am excited to dive back into the art of photography. I am eager to capture life's moments and create beautiful, lasting memories through my lens.
