Don't Panic at The Disco, Dash!
What happens when you find cellophane at Joann fabrics for $1 a roll? You also end up spending $80 on backdrops and disco balls! This photoshoot was very spur of the moment, but I had such a great time working with my friend Dash to make these images. Dash is very involved in rave culture, which is something that is totally new to me, but I knew she would be the perfect person to help accomplish the aesthetic I was going for. I was very heavily inspired by the 2000s for this shoot. I knew I wanted it to be bright, vibrant and fun. I'm so glad I still have DVD's at home. In fact, the one we used was from a blank stack that you would use to pirate movies with in the 2000s! I also used a laser disc that was given to me by a friend a few years ago. Overall, this is one of my most creative shoots, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process of playing in my home studio with a friend!
