Katy Perry who?
This is an image I made in my first quarter at SFCC, but was also able to redo and use in my second quarter. This image was very heavily inspired by Katy Perry's Teenage Dream album cover, which is actually a painting a not a photograph. The idea to recreate the cover came to me while flying to Seattle and shooting out of the window of an E-175. The clouds were really fluffy and I knew I had to do a composite at some point, so after my trip I got Jadalee into the studio and this is what we created! I had help with the lighting from the school's master technician (IDK if that's his title but he does everything and helps us so much) and using Profoto D2's we were able to place the lighting to match where the sun was hitting. This is an area I have grown a lot in after being more mindful of the sun. After making my composite, I applied a paint like overlay to really give it the feeling of being a painting. Jadalee was a great model to work with and I'm so glad I was able to reuse this image for multiple assignments.
With Love,
